Kasolwe Brown Goat Breed: Disease-Resistant Farming Innovation

After years of research, the National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC&DB) has successfully developed the Kasolwe Brown Goat breed.

Unlike exotic breeds, the Kasolwe Brown has been specifically bred to withstand local disease challenges, particularly tick-borne diseases and haemonchosis.

This resilience makes it easier to keep, maintain, and more sustainable for local farmers. Truly, a game changer for goat farming in our region.
